About
I'm Eric Tello, a.k.a. The VFX Mex. I'm a visual effects and motion graphics artist as well as a filmmaker. I studied film at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and continued my education in visual effects and motion graphics at The Art Institute of Austin.
I can comfortably fit in any phase of the production pipeline, be it pre-production, production, or post-production. Some might say that makes me a triple threat; I just say it makes me The VFX Mex.
“Special effects are just a tool, a means of telling a story. People have a tendency to confuse them as an end to themselves. A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing.”
– George Lucas
